Zenboard, on your Mac, and in your menu bar.

What the app adds
Three things a browser tab cannot do.
Everything else is the Zenboard you already know. These are the reasons to install it.
Your focus areas, in the menu bar.
Name up to five things you are building your life around. One of them sits in your menu bar, over every app you open, and the bar moves through them as you work.
A timer that floats over everything.
The focus timer stays above Figma, your editor and your browser, including apps in fullscreen, where an ordinary window disappears.
The whole workspace, in its own window.
Clients, projects, time and invoices, out of the tab stack and into an app you can switch to with Command-Tab.
Opening it the first time
macOS will ask before it lets this one run.
Zenboard for Mac is not yet signed with an Apple Developer ID, so macOS stops it on first open the way it stops anything it has not been told about. Two steps, once.
- Open the .dmg and drag Zenboard into your Applications folder.
- Right-click Zenboard in Applications and choose Open, then Open again in the dialog.
- That is once, not every time. Zenboard opens normally from then on.
Double-clicking instead of right-clicking shows “Zenboard cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified”. Right-click and Open is the same file, with your permission attached. A signed and notarised build is on the way and removes this step.
Get it
Free, and it stays free.
The Mac app is part of Zenboard, not a separate purchase. Sign in with the account you already have, or make one when it opens.

Prefer the browser? Zenboard works there too.
Nothing about the Mac app is required. Your work is the same work in either place.
